Creator of Women Boxing Archive Network [WBAN] and the International Women's Boxing Hall of Fame [IWBHF] --- Sue TL Fox, WBAN/IWBHF President

 
 

In the "Ring Magazine" 90 Year Anniversary Commemorative February 2012 Issue, there were 10 female boxers past and present named as the Most-Significant Female Boxers of All Time.

Fox was honored to be included as one of the top ten picks that included such greats as Lucia Rijker, Christy Martin, Laila Ali, Ann Wolfe, Layla McCarter, Marian Trimiar, Graciela Casillas, Regina Halmich, and Kelsey Jeffries and are listed in the Ring Magazine article.

Journalist David Avila wrote, "Fox was a southpaw whose record was anything but gaudy but she has become one of the most important journalists for women's boxing. Her contributions as both a pioneer prizefighter and historian cannot be measured or equaled. She remains an important figure in female professional boxing."

Since February of 2012 receiving this high honor, she was inducted into two hall of fames in the state of California, first in 2013, and then again with the West Coast Boxing Hall of Fame in 2021.


In January of 2014, Fox created the International Women's Boxing Hall of Fame (IWBHF) and celebrated it's 10th year anniversary October 7, 2023, at the Orleans Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, and has made Las Vegas the home base of the IWBHF for the Induction Ceremonies.   To learn more on the IWBHF and become involved with the hall of fame, visit https://iwbhf.com, or contact Fox if interested in becoming involved with the organization, at wban100@aol.com.

In both 2021 and 2023, the IWBHF received a proclamation letter(s) from the City of Las Vegas Mayor, Carolyn Goodman, making both events that took place in Las Vegas as "Women's Boxing Day" on August 14, 2021, and October 7, 2023.

In the year of May 2023, WBAN celebrated it's 25th Anniversary of being on the Internet, covering women's boxing, both amateur and Professional and continues to be the leading source of the sport on what is now considered an Encyclopedia of the history of the sport, and the present boxers in the sport.
